In a major organisational update, Er. S. Meera Hussain, National Joint Coordinator and Puducherry In-charge of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Minority Department, today announced the second list of newly appointed State Vice Chairman, District Chairman, and Assembly Chairman for the Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee.
The appointments, approved by Hon’ble MP and National Chairman of the AICC Minority Department, Shri Imran Pratapgarhi, include seven State Vice Chairmen, one District Chairman for Puducherry South, and 23 Assembly Chairmen representing key constituencies across Puducherry.
Meera Hussain stated that the fresh appointments, along with the first list already announced, reflect the party’s commitment to grassroots leadership and organisational strength. She called on the newly appointed leaders to work in unity, strengthen the Congress base, and prepare robust strategies for the upcoming 2026 elections.
“Our goal is clear — to achieve a decisive Congress victory in Puducherry and contribute to the formation of a government under the leadership of people’s leader Rahul Gandhi at the Centre,” Meera Hussain said. She emphasised that under the guidance of Shri Imran Pratapgarhi, the Minority Department will play a key role in energising the party cadre and mobilising public support.
Conveying heartfelt congratulations to all appointees, Meera Hussain urged them to dedicate themselves to organisational growth, voter outreach, and effective campaign execution.
