Building for Bharat: How Pragal Bharat Aims to Empower 1 Crore Students Across India

At a time when India is witnessing rapid growth in education and technology, one challenge continues to stand out — the gap between academic learning and real-world skills.

While many acknowledge this problem, very few choose to build solutions at the grassroots level.

Deb Kanta Ghosh, a young entrepreneur from Jharkhand, is among those few who have taken that step.

Understanding the Problem at the Ground Level

Before starting his venture, Deb spent years working closely with students in the Ed-Tech sector, guiding more than 10,000 learners across different backgrounds.

During this journey, he observed a consistent gap:

    • Students lacked clarity in career direction
    • Learning remained largely theoretical
    • Practical exposure was minimal

This insight led to a simple but powerful belief:

India doesn’t lack talent — it lacks the right direction and skill application.

In The Idea Behind Pragal Bharat

With this understanding, Deb initiated Pragal Bharat, a skill-focused brand operating under Pragalraya Bharat Pvt. Ltd., aimed at bridging the gap between education and employability.

Rather than positioning itself as just another Ed-Tech company, Pragal Bharat is being built as a long-term ecosystem focused on:

    • Practical and industry-relevant skills
    • Affordable learning for middle-class students
    • Hybrid reach through offline and digital models

The larger vision is to impact 1 Crore students across India and build a ₹100 Crore sustainable brand in the coming years.

    A Bootstrapped Beginning

Unlike many startups that begin with significant funding, Pragalraya Bharat Pvt. Ltd. is currently in its early stage and is being developed with a bootstrapped approach.

Operating with limited resources, the focus remains on:

    • Understanding real student needs
    • Building strong foundational programs
    • Creating scalable systems for future growth

This approach ensures that the foundation is built on practical insights rather than assumptions.

    Focus Areas and Early Roadmap

As part of its initial strategy, Pragal Bharat is working on:

    • Skill-based workshops for school and college students
    • Coding and career-oriented programs for engineering students
    • Emerging technology exposure such as drone and space-based learning

With its website currently under development, the brand is preparing for its first structured rollout in the coming phase.

    In A Purpose Beyond Business

At its core, Pragal Bharat, under Pragalraya Bharat Pvt. Ltd., is driven by a broader purpose:

To contribute towards a more skilled, confident, and capable India.

Inspired by the ideals of nation-building and youth empowerment, the initiative reflects a belief that true growth of a nation begins with its youth.

    The Road Ahead

As the digital presence of Pragal Bharat begins to take shape, this marks the starting point of a larger journey for Pragalraya Bharat Pvt. Ltd.

The coming months will focus on:

    • Launching pilot programs
    • Expanding outreach through institutions
    • Building a strong brand presence across platforms

    Founder’s Note

    According to Deb Kanta Ghosh:

“This is just the beginning. The goal is not just to build a company, but to build something that creates real impact. If we can help students move in the right direction, we can contribute to something much bigger than ourselves.”

    In Conclusion

In an evolving education landscape, early-stage initiatives like Pragal Bharat highlight a growing shift towards skill-based learning and real-world readiness.

While the journey has just begun, the intent is clear —
to build with purpose, scale with impact, and contribute towards the future of India.
